Technical question
Question: Quality of scanned images is low and there are lines on scanned images.
Answer: This problem can happen because of two reasons; first one is that scanner is not calibrated. In that case calibrate scanner with the calibration paper. Second reason could be because scanner is connected via USB hub; connect scanner directly to the computer.
Question: After scanning Reader detects document as unrecognized.
Answer: Check is it right side of document scanned.
Question: Scanner doesn’t work and it doesn’t shows in “Device Manager” under “Imaging devices”.
Answer: Disconnect the scanner, restart Windows, connect the scanner in to another USB port on your computer and re-install drivers upon Windows request.
Question: What does the calibration sheet look like?
Answer: Calibration paper have black stripes either on one side or both sides of the sheet. It comes with scanner and if it is not found, determine the scanner model and download a printable copy from our website.
Scan2Contacts questions
Question: After a while Scan2Contacts toolbar has disappeared and the scanner does not work?
Answer: In some cases Outlook prevents work of add-on components such as Scan2Contacts. All you need to do is open your Outlook, go to HELP - ABOUT OUTLOOK - DISABLED ITEMS, and mark Scan2Contacts.
Question: Scan2Contacts green icon in the toolbar has turned to gray and the scanner does not work.
Answer: Gray icon indicates status S2C is disabled. Click once (not 2 times) with mouse on the gray icon to enable it. The icon should turn to green and the system should now be ready for work (if it is red then your scanner is not connected to a computer or not properly installed).
Question: Can I adjust manually location on the hard disc for saving images?
Answer: Location on disk for saving images can be set up in the configuration window. To open the configuration window, select the left icon in the Scan2Contacts toolbar.
Question: After installing Scan2Contacts green icon does not appear in the Outlook toolbar.
Answer: Please disconnect all active devices such as Palm Pilot, Treo, a PDA phone, etc. and reset the Outlook.
